2016 Field Perspectives: Art Organizing within Accelerated Capitalisms

Common Field is proud to share the compilation of essays published as a part of the 2016 Field Perspectives: Art Organizing within Accelerated Capitalisms as a downloadable PDF. The publication contains a series of eight essays that were commissioned and co-published by Common Field, Miami Rail, and Temporary Art Review for the 2016 Common Field Convening in Miami, Florida, held from October 20-23, 2017 at the Little Haiti Cultural Center. The essays address core convening themes of Accelerated Capitalism, Gentrification, Transitions, and Criticality, and were co-published across platforms during the months leading up to the convening to catalyze discussion, dialog, and debate before, during and after the event. The essays were authored by by Michael Allen, Dana Bassett, Rob Goyanes, Sarrita Hunn & James McAnally, Christopher Kennedy, Joshua Simon, Monica Uszerowicz, and Patricia Margarita Hernandez & Natalia Zuluaga.
